NVAV Fly-in Drachten: homebuilt experimental aircraft on display

September 24th, 2006

Ever since I became a member of NVAV, the Dutch homebuilder’s association, I tried to attend their meetings by air. Finally the weather didn’t intervene, so I took an old PA28-140 and flew down to Drachten (EHDR) to attend the yearly NVAV fly in.
I wrote an article in Dutch for ‘Profiel’, NVAV’s bi-monthly magazine. This article was published in the September 2006 issue. If you can read Dutch go to this Flying Adventures page, to learn more about the flight back to Rendsburg (EDXR).

today I acquired an RPM indicator for the panel I still need to build for my experimental aircraft project.

You can read & see more about it by going directly to the engine & electrical power monitoring page.

Enjoy

CNC cutting sheet metal airplane parts

July 17th, 2006

it’s been a while and not a lot has happened, except for the fact that I updated my IBIS homebuilt aircraft site with some new information on CNC cutting of sheet metal parts. A direct link to this new information is: CNC cutting of sheet metal aircraft parts. Enjoy!

Favorite Booklist added to IBIS site

May 27th, 2006

It’s been a while that I updated my favorite aviation booklist that I maintain on on my RJ.03 IBIS homebuilt aircraft project site .
Every forthnight or so yet another carton box gets opened (still sorting stuff out after moving to Northern Germany last year…) and brings to light a number of books I’d been missing some time. After finding a number of dear books related to aviation, I decided to update the ‘favorite books’ list.
Enjoy!

RJ.03 IBIS “The French Canard” homebuilt aircraft site extended and face lifted

February 17th, 2006

Today I implemented a major face lift to my homebuilt IBIS airplane project web site.
Also, I published some information about the instrument panel. On eBay I purchased a GROB 11006 six-in-one instrument for monitoring the engine and the electrical power circuit. Check it out!
