It’s almost two years ago that I wanted to take a Cessna 172 Skyhawk up for some traffic patterns at EDXR to keep current on the type.
I preflight the plane, start the engine and let Rendsburg Information know that I intend to shoot some traffic patterns.

A couple of weeks ago my brother Marcel purchased a Europa Classic Tri-Gear, registered as G-BWON.
In the weeks leading up to that purchase, I was involved from afar, evaluating a lot of pictures, email statements from the prior owners, etc., trying to fill in the blanks for Marcel.

Flying Dutchmen on the Internet
A couple of times a year, a group of flying Dutchmen who also maintain a blog about their aviation related hobby meet face to face, traveling to these meetings by air, preferably as pilot-in-command. The next meeting is scheduled on Sunday December 28th on Stadtlohn / EDLS.

Some time back an attempted FlyBlog-4 meeting on Juist (EDWJ) got flushed down the drain by a persistent patch of dense fog in the northern part of the Netherlands, causing those members who are based there to cancel the event.

During the weekend of ‘le grand jour de la grande nation’ I had the pleasure of spending some time in Vichy and Roanne.
During this weekend, I visited the RSA fly-in and also met one of the IBIS designers, who invited me to be checked out on two of these birds.

Ever since I became a member of NVAV, the Dutch homebuilder’s association, I tried to attend their meetings by air. Finally the weather didn’t intervene, so I took an old PA28-140 and flew down to Drachten (EHDR) to attend the yearly NVAV fly in.
